Between The Lines

Titled Bènso Jatigiya (“Meeting Place”), the Mali Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai offered an immersive journey through the country’s cultural heritage, historical depth, and economic promise—anchored by the vital presence of the Niger River. Visitors followed the river’s path to explore Malian folktales, historical artifacts, and the richness of the nation's cultural and touristic landscapes. A monumental textile installation by renowned artist Abdoulaye Konaté served as a visual centerpiece, reinforcing Mali’s identity as a land of opportunity.
